A beautiful weekend graced a premier Blackstone Valley event, the first annual Art & Wine Festival. The weekend began with a Connoisseur's Evening on Friday, September 9 at the Asa Waters Mansion and featured a juried art exhibit, a performance by the Claflin Hill Woodwind Quintet and fine cuisine matched with exquisite wines. Saturday and Sunday the lush grounds of the Asa Waters mansion came alive with classical music performed by Claflin Hill musicians, artworks for sale by the artisans who created them, and wine tastings and auctions.
