Claflin Hill Partners with The Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce
Art & Wine Festival
September 9 - 11
The Asa Waters Mansion, Millbury MA
The Claflin Hill Music Performance Foundation is proud to be a part of the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce's First Annual Art & Wine Festival. We are grateful for the invitation to participate in this stellar event, and for the wonderful promotion and exposure that the BV Chamber has given us.
The Blackstone Valley is a thriving corridor of communities, and we hope they will discover Claflin Hill - the region's most exciting professional symphony orchestra - barely 20 minutes away from them in Downtown Milford.
Join us for a weekend of great art, music and especially great wine tasting as together - The Blackstone Valley and Claflin Hill launch into a beautiful fall season of great music and great foliage!
Friday, September 9, 6 - 7 PM: The Connoisseur's Evening Dinner Prelude, featuring the Claflin Hill Woodwind Quintet, led by Claflin Hill Director Paul Surapine on Clarinet, and joined by members of the Claflin Hill Symphony wind section. An hour of tasteful and entertaining wind music from pop to light classics - the perfect "prelude" to an elegant wine tasting dinner.
Saturday, September 10, 1 - 3 PM: The Claflin Hill Jazz Quartet, featuring two great legends of jazz, Jerry Seeco on trumpet, flute and vocal and John Baboian on guitar, joined by Claflin Hill Symphony Principal musicians Dan Hann on drums and Peter Lewis on Bass. Hot jazz for a cool autumn afternoon.
Sunday, September 11, 1 - 3 PM: The Claflin Hill Symphony String Quartet, led by CHSO Concertmaster Nicola Takov, joined by members of the CHSO string sections - elegant chamber music for the conclusion of a most elegant weekend!!
